Wild, Wild Nails! (And a swatch!)

And once again, the blog is all set up and tidy, apologies to the few people who may have visited while the blog was in the middle of customisation, it must've looked a mess!
To (hopefully) make up for that, I have this post for you! You're being spoilt today with all of the new things, aren't you? :D
Anyway! It's time to go wild!

For these nails, I have used OPI Alpine Snow as the white base... (Swatch time!)

(Sorry for the mess on these, I should've tidied them up a bit before taking pictures, but it was cold and like 1am...!)

I've then added Barry M Burgundy Croc Effect crackle onto 4 nails of each hand

I have absolutely no idea why it's called 'croc' effects because this really isn't like scales of a crocodile! But I do love it anyway hehe!

The zebra/white tiger nails are done using Andrea Fulerton's Black Dot & Flick striper-part, though any striper, or even a thin paintbrush and some black polish, will work just as well! Just carefully draw some wild-looking stripes onto your nail. Don't worry if they look a bit wobbly either, it makes it more realistic than completely straight stripes!
And voila, wild wild nails, cute style! ;D

Do you like these nails? If you try them out yourself, I would love to see some pictures! You can post a link in a comment, or tweet me @Nail_Parade :)
Hope you like all the new designy stuff!

Swatch Watch: OPI 'Sprung'

Wooo time got away from me for a couple of weeks. Has it really been so long already? My apologies to any of you who have been eagerly waiting for new swatches (I know I have)! To make it up to you I've got a swatch for you today which, in my opinion, is pretty "in season" right now. I'm talking about the Rose Gold trend that's been going on for a year or two now - who would of known it would become so popular?

Today's nail polish is: OPI 'Sprung'. It sounds like it should be a spring green kinda colour... but nope! This polish is a beautiful rose-gold kind of colour with a perfect amount of shimmer to be classy and sophisticated. Don't believe me? Here it is!

Fact File:
Brand: OPI
Polish Name: Sprung
# of coats: 3 + (applies quite thin)
Finishing Texture: Smooth, shimmer
Cost: £3.10 at the time of writing, on

So I paired this polish with this gel-finish dotty topcoat... thing. That sadly, has no name, and was bought by my roommate…

Avril "Mille et une nuits" #32*

*This post contains an item sent to me in exchange for an honest review. Here it is a nail polish by Avril, called "Mille et une nuits" - No32.

Hello folks!

How are you all doing? How am I doing? Where am I? Who am I? So many questions...

To answer a few... I hope you are doing fine.
Yes, I am fine thank you.
I am in England, once again. For a long while this time.
I am Rachel, as always. And I have been missing from the blogging world for a couple of months.

The past 2 weeks I have spent job-searching (with success, yay!), catching up on Suits, and binge-watching Scandal. I want you all to go and do some homework and watch Scandal so I have somebody to talk to about it. Seriously.

Anyway, a few months ago I was lucky enough to be contacted by Avril - a french beauty brand which pride themselves on not testing on animals, and ensuring any of the ingredients used are also not tested on our furry friends. I highly respect this, and think that all companies should follow their …
