Shades: French Mani

Eeeee look at me posting two days in a row! What is this crazy world?
Anyway, french manicure time! As I said for nude coloured nails, I'm not a fan of the bland-stuff, so I have a colourful mani design for you!
For this design I have used:
*Boot's 17 "Luau"
*Revlon's Watermelon Fizz (Scented!)
*Maybelline Super Stay Gel Colour in Berry Stain
*Manicure Tip Guides

Yes, I cheated okay... I cannot, no matter how hard I try, get a perfect french manicure edge freehand. So I use manicure tip guides! (I got 10 packs for around £3 on amazon (uk) and each pack has 3 designs in it- a curved french guide, a chevron guide and a heart-shaped guide) They're great to use, just make sure your first colour is 100% dry before sticking it on otherwise when you go to pull it off, away comes your polish!

Luau is the super soft shiny pearly pink you see there (I love it, surprisingly), Watermelon Fizz is the red-pink one, which is pretty sparkly really! And the purpley tips are the maybelline colour =)

And then I messed around with my Mac's camera a little... :3

Hehehe, okay that's all!

Look forward to seeing you soon! :D

Swatch Watch: OPI 'Sprung'

Greetings!

Wooo time got away from me for a couple of weeks. Has it really been so long already? My apologies to any of you who have been eagerly waiting for new swatches (I know I have)! To make it up to you I've got a swatch for you today which, in my opinion, is pretty "in season" right now. I'm talking about the Rose Gold trend that's been going on for a year or two now - who would of known it would become so popular?

Today's nail polish is: OPI 'Sprung'. It sounds like it should be a spring green kinda colour... but nope! This polish is a beautiful rose-gold kind of colour with a perfect amount of shimmer to be classy and sophisticated. Don't believe me? Here it is!

Fact File:
Brand: OPI
Polish Name: Sprung
# of coats: 3 + (applies quite thin)
Finishing Texture: Smooth, shimmer
Cost: £3.10 at the time of writing, on tnbl.co.uk

So I paired this polish with this gel-finish dotty topcoat... thing. That sadly, has no name, and was bought by my roommate…

Avril "Mille et une nuits" #32*

*This post contains an item sent to me in exchange for an honest review. Here it is a nail polish by Avril, called "Mille et une nuits" - No32.

Hello folks!

How are you all doing? How am I doing? Where am I? Who am I? So many questions...

To answer a few... I hope you are doing fine.
Yes, I am fine thank you.
I am in England, once again. For a long while this time.
I am Rachel, as always. And I have been missing from the blogging world for a couple of months.

The past 2 weeks I have spent job-searching (with success, yay!), catching up on Suits, and binge-watching Scandal. I want you all to go and do some homework and watch Scandal so I have somebody to talk to about it. Seriously.

Anyway, a few months ago I was lucky enough to be contacted by Avril - a french beauty brand which pride themselves on not testing on animals, and ensuring any of the ingredients used are also not tested on our furry friends. I highly respect this, and think that all companies should follow their …
