Crackle Time| Breast Cancer Awareness Week

Hai Guys!
Yes, this post is 2 days late... I apologise!
I got distracted by life, pokemon and new nail polish arriving (More on that tonight!)

What can you do?
So for my last part of 'What Can You Do' I leave you with a few more ideas to raise money!
1) Do a sponsored run/walk or take part in the 'Run for Life' races that frequently take part throughout the country! =) They're easy enough to set up your own, and you can set up a fund on JustGiving =)
2) Try a car boot sale? They're an amazing way to get rid of all of your old stuff, and to raise money at the same time! =)
3) A charity manicure-day! How about offering to paint people's nails/opening up a little manicure stand somewhere and charging them £2-5 for each manicure (or however much seems appropriate) and then donating all the funds to charity. It keeps the fun of the manicuring and the helpfulness to the cause.

While we're on the topic of raising money for Cancer Awareness/Research... My Friend, Rachael, is raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support. To raise the money she's gonna be shaving her head, which is a pretty big shock to us all cause she literally loves her hair.
She'll be shaving her hair on December 1st, and hopefully, with her permission, there'll be a post on this soon explaining more about what she's doing and a link to her Just Giving page. Then on December 1st, there'll also be a before and after picture, and a paragraph from Rachael herself =) Such a good cause to fight for! Go Rachael!

So today's Mani is Crackle Time!
Because, you know, crackle polish should be making a come-back already. I love crackle polishes, genuinely adore them!
And they're so easy to do as well!

Colours Used: Rimmel London Lasting Polish 'Baby Pink' (base for index/ring fingers); Barry M Gelly Papaya (base for thumb/pinkie); Nails Inc Sloane Gardens; Barry M White Crackle Effect; Barry M Red Croc Effects

What do you think? :)
This is the final pink manicure I'm doing (for a while probably... :3), but it's been a great cause! I've loved having a motive to do something for a change hehe and I'll do a couple of halloween nails hopefully this week, followed by a couple of fireworks designs for you all to try out during this slightly festive season! =)
The next post though will be a weird one probably, but I look forward to writing it and seeing your responses!

Don't forget to go and try out some of the ideas about how to fundraise money for Cancer Research and Support Charities!

And for those of you on half term right now, make sure it's a safe one, and a good one! =)

Your Guide to Barry M Gelly's!

Finally, the time has come for the ever-promised "Barry M Gelly Polishes Review & Swatch" Post! YAY! Now, now, settle down, settle down, and prepare yourself for an image-heavy post!

Okay, so that picture isn't too great. But there's the colours that between us (Me and Rhian) have in the Gelly range. We're only missing "Grapefruit" I think...

Swatch Watch: OPI 'Sprung'

Greetings!

Wooo time got away from me for a couple of weeks. Has it really been so long already? My apologies to any of you who have been eagerly waiting for new swatches (I know I have)! To make it up to you I've got a swatch for you today which, in my opinion, is pretty "in season" right now. I'm talking about the Rose Gold trend that's been going on for a year or two now - who would of known it would become so popular?

Today's nail polish is: OPI 'Sprung'. It sounds like it should be a spring green kinda colour... but nope! This polish is a beautiful rose-gold kind of colour with a perfect amount of shimmer to be classy and sophisticated. Don't believe me? Here it is!

Fact File:
Brand: OPI
Polish Name: Sprung
# of coats: 3 + (applies quite thin)
Finishing Texture: Smooth, shimmer
Cost: £3.10 at the time of writing, on tnbl.co.uk

So I paired this polish with this gel-finish dotty topcoat... thing. That sadly, has no name, and was bought by my roommate…

Avril "Mille et une nuits" #32*

*This post contains an item sent to me in exchange for an honest review. Here it is a nail polish by Avril, called "Mille et une nuits" - No32.

Hello folks!

How are you all doing? How am I doing? Where am I? Who am I? So many questions...

To answer a few... I hope you are doing fine.
Yes, I am fine thank you.
I am in England, once again. For a long while this time.
I am Rachel, as always. And I have been missing from the blogging world for a couple of months.

The past 2 weeks I have spent job-searching (with success, yay!), catching up on Suits, and binge-watching Scandal. I want you all to go and do some homework and watch Scandal so I have somebody to talk to about it. Seriously.

Anyway, a few months ago I was lucky enough to be contacted by Avril - a french beauty brand which pride themselves on not testing on animals, and ensuring any of the ingredients used are also not tested on our furry friends. I highly respect this, and think that all companies should follow their …
