Bonus Post! Models Own Haul!

Hello dears!
Hope you had a wonderful Friday night- I have a little gift for you all in the form of a bonus post! (Three cheers for a bonus post?)

Anyway, you may or may not be aware that Models Own recently had a half-price sale, and of course, the release of a brand new collection featuring 10 coloured chrome-finish polishes!

Of course, I couldn't resist them after seeing many of them used in stamping and nail art, and simply looking stunning on their own.

I also grabbed a few extra- (from left to right, back row) "Northern Lights", "Snowflake", "Indian Ocean" and "Paradise Garage"

I couldn't help but do a little rainbow-swatch on a piece of paper I had handy, so here's a peak at that too!

I'm probably not going to swatch these and stamp with them so specifically (though, Chrome Rose will be featured on Monday!) so I've grabbed a few links from some lovely blogging ladies to point you in the direction of some posts featuring these!

Swatches of the more pastel shades- by Brit Nails!
And the darker/brighter colours- by Nail Lacquer UK!
The Nailasaurus has done a very nice stamping post!
And Nuthin' But a Nail Thing has done a beautiful gradient striping tape mani!

I hope you love these polishes as much as I'm sure I'm going to, and if you plan on buying them let me know- if you do it'd be awesome to see what you create!

  1. Amazing catches, they all look stunning and I'm so looking forward to seeing them in action :D n_n

    1. Thank you! I'm looking forward to using them all! :D

Finally, the time has come for the ever-promised "Barry M Gelly Polishes Review & Swatch" Post! YAY! Now, now, settle down, settle down, and prepare yourself for an image-heavy post!

Okay, so that picture isn't too great. But there's the colours that between us (Me and Rhian) have in the Gelly range. We're only missing "Grapefruit" I think...

Swatch Watch: OPI 'Sprung'

Wooo time got away from me for a couple of weeks. Has it really been so long already? My apologies to any of you who have been eagerly waiting for new swatches (I know I have)! To make it up to you I've got a swatch for you today which, in my opinion, is pretty "in season" right now. I'm talking about the Rose Gold trend that's been going on for a year or two now - who would of known it would become so popular?

Today's nail polish is: OPI 'Sprung'. It sounds like it should be a spring green kinda colour... but nope! This polish is a beautiful rose-gold kind of colour with a perfect amount of shimmer to be classy and sophisticated. Don't believe me? Here it is!

Fact File:
Brand: OPI
Polish Name: Sprung
# of coats: 3 + (applies quite thin)
Finishing Texture: Smooth, shimmer
Cost: £3.10 at the time of writing, on

So I paired this polish with this gel-finish dotty topcoat... thing. That sadly, has no name, and was bought by my roommate…

Avril "Mille et une nuits" #32*

*This post contains an item sent to me in exchange for an honest review. Here it is a nail polish by Avril, called "Mille et une nuits" - No32.

Hello folks!

How are you all doing? How am I doing? Where am I? Who am I? So many questions...

To answer a few... I hope you are doing fine.
Yes, I am fine thank you.
I am in England, once again. For a long while this time.
I am Rachel, as always. And I have been missing from the blogging world for a couple of months.

The past 2 weeks I have spent job-searching (with success, yay!), catching up on Suits, and binge-watching Scandal. I want you all to go and do some homework and watch Scandal so I have somebody to talk to about it. Seriously.

Anyway, a few months ago I was lucky enough to be contacted by Avril - a french beauty brand which pride themselves on not testing on animals, and ensuring any of the ingredients used are also not tested on our furry friends. I highly respect this, and think that all companies should follow their …
