Pink, pink and more... pink!?

Hey everyone!

This post was meant to go up on Friday but I kinda forgot to write it (oops) so it's here for y'all today!

Anyway, after wearing a couple of mani's featuring blues and darker colours, I did something a bit out of the ordinary for me...
I went to my nail drawer, and picked out...
Pinks.
(On purpose!)
I guess my subconscious fancied some brighter summery colours for a change- who knew I had it in me, right!?

I actually really loved this mani too, and it stayed on my nails for a good 5 days which is a veeeery long time for me!

This mani was also what can only be deemed as a "successful fail mani" as I was aiming to do a sugar spin on the duochrome nails with the other polish. It didn't reeeeeeeally work very well, and I ended up with blobs everywhere.

And so, I embraced the blobs and went with it.

This bright, Summery peachy pink colour is Nails Inc's Mornington Crescent. On these nails I added some little delicate hearts in Models Own's Jack Frost glitter polish- a fine holographic glitter in a rather thick liquid.

The duochrome polish is none other than Barry M's Mediterranean. Such a great polish for those Summer months!

And so, the successful fail pink mani was born. I still rather like it and it's not even on my nails anymore!
Are you a pink person, or ready for your Summer manis? Let me know in the comments below!

Hope you have a great start to the week- see you on Wednesday!

Avril "Mille et une nuits" #32*

*This post contains an item sent to me in exchange for an honest review. Here it is a nail polish by Avril, called "Mille et une nuits" - No32.

Hello folks!

How are you all doing? How am I doing? Where am I? Who am I? So many questions...

To answer a few... I hope you are doing fine.
Yes, I am fine thank you.
I am in England, once again. For a long while this time.
I am Rachel, as always. And I have been missing from the blogging world for a couple of months.

The past 2 weeks I have spent job-searching (with success, yay!), catching up on Suits, and binge-watching Scandal. I want you all to go and do some homework and watch Scandal so I have somebody to talk to about it. Seriously.

Anyway, a few months ago I was lucky enough to be contacted by Avril - a french beauty brand which pride themselves on not testing on animals, and ensuring any of the ingredients used are also not tested on our furry friends. I highly respect this, and think that all companies should follow their …

Howdy!

I'm writing this whilst listening to the General Election results. I'm not going to get into politics here though, this is a safe politics-free zone!

I've been semi-missing the past few weeks, I know. Many apologies. However if you follow me on Instagram you'll have seen a couple of posts! And just in case you don't, here they are for you:

First of all actually, I had a little haul from BornPrettyStore, and bought the following stoofs:

And then did ma nails. (That's what I do here, generally after all).

Swatch Watch: Barry M Gelly 'Papaya'

Greetings folks,

Today's featured polish is one of my top picks for Summer pretty much every year. It's a Barry M Gelly polish, which I summarised all of the colours for (at the time) a few years back. You can check that post out here if you want to see the awesome variation of colours!

Papaya, however, is I think the first of the Gelly polishes I picked out. It's a pinky-orange/peach colour (wow, great describing skills, I know), that seems perfect for cocktails and beach-style weather. That weather is also known as Summer in most countries (and occasionally the UK). Of course, it has the beautiful gel-like shiny finish with it, which can be enhanced with a shiny topcoat, or even a gel-style topcoat if you want to go all out!

Most images in this post were taken with flash to try and capture the true colour of the polish. In some lights it looks more orange than peach, but I feel that all the images here show the true colour it appears in a few different light settings.
