GoT: House Baratheon

Hey everyone!

Sorry for the week of silence, things have been busy with revision for yet another set of exams. When will they be over?!

Anyway, today brings the final Game of Thrones post to y'all. Which means that post-exams there'll be a new Fandom attacking the blog... dun dun duuun!
To bring the GoT posts to a close, I bring you...

House Baratheon!

Not gonna lie here, I'm not a huge fan of the Baratheon House really, but I do love their sigil. I have a kinda fascination with them I guess!

To create my mani this time round I focused on the stag's antlers and the crown, and had that as the focus of my centre nails. The yellow polish used is Rimmel London's "Sunshine", and the black is my usual Striper by Andrea Fullerton.

For my thumb and pinkie, I wanted nails which were linked with the colours of the House but also added another depth to the whole manicure, so I added a coat of gold shimmer (Leighton Denny's Gold Dust) to all 5 nails, and then a coat of Orly's Love Each Other purple iridescent to my thumb and pinkie nails, which were based with Barry M's Matte Espresso.

So there we have it! How do you like these Baratheon nails? And which Game of Thrones nails were your favourite!?

See you all on Friday!

Your Guide to Barry M Gelly's!

Finally, the time has come for the ever-promised "Barry M Gelly Polishes Review & Swatch" Post! YAY! Now, now, settle down, settle down, and prepare yourself for an image-heavy post!

Okay, so that picture isn't too great. But there's the colours that between us (Me and Rhian) have in the Gelly range. We're only missing "Grapefruit" I think...

Swatch Watch: OPI 'Sprung'

Wooo time got away from me for a couple of weeks. Has it really been so long already? My apologies to any of you who have been eagerly waiting for new swatches (I know I have)! To make it up to you I've got a swatch for you today which, in my opinion, is pretty "in season" right now. I'm talking about the Rose Gold trend that's been going on for a year or two now - who would of known it would become so popular?

Today's nail polish is: OPI 'Sprung'. It sounds like it should be a spring green kinda colour... but nope! This polish is a beautiful rose-gold kind of colour with a perfect amount of shimmer to be classy and sophisticated. Don't believe me? Here it is!

Fact File:
Brand: OPI
Polish Name: Sprung
# of coats: 3 + (applies quite thin)
Finishing Texture: Smooth, shimmer
Cost: £3.10 at the time of writing, on

So I paired this polish with this gel-finish dotty topcoat... thing. That sadly, has no name, and was bought by my roommate…

Avril "Mille et une nuits" #32*

*This post contains an item sent to me in exchange for an honest review. Here it is a nail polish by Avril, called "Mille et une nuits" - No32.

Hello folks!

How are you all doing? How am I doing? Where am I? Who am I? So many questions...

To answer a few... I hope you are doing fine.
Yes, I am fine thank you.
I am in England, once again. For a long while this time.
I am Rachel, as always. And I have been missing from the blogging world for a couple of months.

The past 2 weeks I have spent job-searching (with success, yay!), catching up on Suits, and binge-watching Scandal. I want you all to go and do some homework and watch Scandal so I have somebody to talk to about it. Seriously.

Anyway, a few months ago I was lucky enough to be contacted by Avril - a french beauty brand which pride themselves on not testing on animals, and ensuring any of the ingredients used are also not tested on our furry friends. I highly respect this, and think that all companies should follow their …
