Wiki'd Nails: Tesla

Hey everyone!

Today's "Wiki'd Nails" Challenge subject is "Tesla"... of the Nikola Tesla variety. I must say, I recognised the name when I first read it but wasn't sure what he did. Apparently he's best known for the AC system in electricity, which sparked a few ideas to transfer onto nails.

My first plan was going to be some lightning strike nails, but then I remembered about a new stamping plate I got...

And that it has some pretty cool, electrifying designs. So although it isn't directly electricity (or Tesla) related, it was what I found myself doing. Here are the results!

I love the crazy patterns it made- almost as if you've been electrified and this is what you see afterwards. Though I do wish I used the gold/green polish (OPI's Frog in my Throat) on all nails instead of just the middle one.
The orange polish is Essie's Bazooka!

Safe to say that this prompt is not my favourite one, but everyone else has done an amazing job so make sure you check out all of their mani's too!

Thanks for reading! Catch you on Monday :)

Swatch Watch: OPI 'Sprung'

Greetings!

Wooo time got away from me for a couple of weeks. Has it really been so long already? My apologies to any of you who have been eagerly waiting for new swatches (I know I have)! To make it up to you I've got a swatch for you today which, in my opinion, is pretty "in season" right now. I'm talking about the Rose Gold trend that's been going on for a year or two now - who would of known it would become so popular?

Today's nail polish is: OPI 'Sprung'. It sounds like it should be a spring green kinda colour... but nope! This polish is a beautiful rose-gold kind of colour with a perfect amount of shimmer to be classy and sophisticated. Don't believe me? Here it is!

Fact File:
Brand: OPI
Polish Name: Sprung
# of coats: 3 + (applies quite thin)
Finishing Texture: Smooth, shimmer
Cost: £3.10 at the time of writing, on tnbl.co.uk

So I paired this polish with this gel-finish dotty topcoat... thing. That sadly, has no name, and was bought by my roommate…

Avril "Mille et une nuits" #32*

*This post contains an item sent to me in exchange for an honest review. Here it is a nail polish by Avril, called "Mille et une nuits" - No32.

Hello folks!

How are you all doing? How am I doing? Where am I? Who am I? So many questions...

To answer a few... I hope you are doing fine.
Yes, I am fine thank you.
I am in England, once again. For a long while this time.
I am Rachel, as always. And I have been missing from the blogging world for a couple of months.

The past 2 weeks I have spent job-searching (with success, yay!), catching up on Suits, and binge-watching Scandal. I want you all to go and do some homework and watch Scandal so I have somebody to talk to about it. Seriously.

Anyway, a few months ago I was lucky enough to be contacted by Avril - a french beauty brand which pride themselves on not testing on animals, and ensuring any of the ingredients used are also not tested on our furry friends. I highly respect this, and think that all companies should follow their …
