Disney Princesses: Snow White

Paraders,

Today marks the beginning of a new nail-art collection... The Disney Princess collection. Of course, as any true Disney fanatic will tell you, the order of Disney Princesses and respected, and thus, the collection will follow the true order of princess release/creation, and follow only the 'official' princesses.

And so, it brings us today where the collection begins with none other than (of course) Snow White.

As Snow White is the classic Disney Princess, I tried to keep everything classy, and the following design was formed...

As far as my freehand work goes, I am a little rusty but I personally love the way the design works.

To make the design, I used a base coat of The Edge - Champagne, before adding rounded blue circles of Barry M's Gelly Blue Grape. This came out a little patchy, but it's the perfect colour for Snow White's shoulder puffs on her dress. I then used red acrylic paint to add the creases and the apple with the bite in it. And with that, I simply leave you with some more images of the design to decide if you like it yourself!

So, let me know what you think - leave me a comment below! If you recreate the design too, don't forget to let me know by dropping me a tweet, facebook message or instagram tag!

Hope you're all well, and I will see you all again very soon for Princess number 2 - none other than Cinderella!

Swatch Watch: OPI 'Sprung'

Greetings!

Wooo time got away from me for a couple of weeks. Has it really been so long already? My apologies to any of you who have been eagerly waiting for new swatches (I know I have)! To make it up to you I've got a swatch for you today which, in my opinion, is pretty "in season" right now. I'm talking about the Rose Gold trend that's been going on for a year or two now - who would of known it would become so popular?

Today's nail polish is: OPI 'Sprung'. It sounds like it should be a spring green kinda colour... but nope! This polish is a beautiful rose-gold kind of colour with a perfect amount of shimmer to be classy and sophisticated. Don't believe me? Here it is!

Fact File:
Brand: OPI
Polish Name: Sprung
# of coats: 3 + (applies quite thin)
Finishing Texture: Smooth, shimmer
Cost: £3.10 at the time of writing, on tnbl.co.uk

So I paired this polish with this gel-finish dotty topcoat... thing. That sadly, has no name, and was bought by my roommate…

Avril "Mille et une nuits" #32*

*This post contains an item sent to me in exchange for an honest review. Here it is a nail polish by Avril, called "Mille et une nuits" - No32.

Hello folks!

How are you all doing? How am I doing? Where am I? Who am I? So many questions...

To answer a few... I hope you are doing fine.
Yes, I am fine thank you.
I am in England, once again. For a long while this time.
I am Rachel, as always. And I have been missing from the blogging world for a couple of months.

The past 2 weeks I have spent job-searching (with success, yay!), catching up on Suits, and binge-watching Scandal. I want you all to go and do some homework and watch Scandal so I have somebody to talk to about it. Seriously.

Anyway, a few months ago I was lucky enough to be contacted by Avril - a french beauty brand which pride themselves on not testing on animals, and ensuring any of the ingredients used are also not tested on our furry friends. I highly respect this, and think that all companies should follow their …
