Nail Mail!

Hi Paraders!

So late last night I received some wonderful nail mail with my order from LiveLovePolish! I never want to order polish from anywhere else ever again, their packaging is adorable and they include a personalised hand-written message with your order to say thanks! Plus they stock all the sparklies *drools*

I totally sound like a walking advertisement right now but I just have a lot of feelings about this company.
Anyway, I ordered 5 beautiful polishes + a couple of peel-off base-coats for my friend at home. Check out these beauties!

From left to right we have got:
  • China Glaze's Too Yacht to Handle
  • Femme Fatale's Heart of the Mountain
  • KBShimmer's Alloy Matey!
  • Powder Perfect's Cherish
  • Superchic Lacquer's No Rest for the Wicked

So I would say that I went a little overboard on buying the sparkles, but there is no such thing as too much sparkle! So it's all good. You can see a little preview of them here below on some paper I had handy. Meanwhile I think I'm going to start off with No Rest for the Wicked on my nails first.

My thumb nail has also started to snap (insert super sad face) and I've tried to tea-bag wrap it but it's breaking through the tea-bag too. Who knows how long it will survive? It's gonna be a painful break when it happens though, the suspense is kinda heartbreaking.

Anyway I hope your days have been good and your nails aren't breaking as much as my thumb is, and I will see you again very soon!

Your Guide to Barry M Gelly's!

Finally, the time has come for the ever-promised "Barry M Gelly Polishes Review & Swatch" Post! YAY! Now, now, settle down, settle down, and prepare yourself for an image-heavy post!

Okay, so that picture isn't too great. But there's the colours that between us (Me and Rhian) have in the Gelly range. We're only missing "Grapefruit" I think...

Swatch Watch: OPI 'Sprung'

Greetings!

Wooo time got away from me for a couple of weeks. Has it really been so long already? My apologies to any of you who have been eagerly waiting for new swatches (I know I have)! To make it up to you I've got a swatch for you today which, in my opinion, is pretty "in season" right now. I'm talking about the Rose Gold trend that's been going on for a year or two now - who would of known it would become so popular?

Today's nail polish is: OPI 'Sprung'. It sounds like it should be a spring green kinda colour... but nope! This polish is a beautiful rose-gold kind of colour with a perfect amount of shimmer to be classy and sophisticated. Don't believe me? Here it is!

Fact File:
Brand: OPI
Polish Name: Sprung
# of coats: 3 + (applies quite thin)
Finishing Texture: Smooth, shimmer
Cost: £3.10 at the time of writing, on tnbl.co.uk

So I paired this polish with this gel-finish dotty topcoat... thing. That sadly, has no name, and was bought by my roommate…

Avril "Mille et une nuits" #32*

*This post contains an item sent to me in exchange for an honest review. Here it is a nail polish by Avril, called "Mille et une nuits" - No32.

Hello folks!

How are you all doing? How am I doing? Where am I? Who am I? So many questions...

To answer a few... I hope you are doing fine.
Yes, I am fine thank you.
I am in England, once again. For a long while this time.
I am Rachel, as always. And I have been missing from the blogging world for a couple of months.

The past 2 weeks I have spent job-searching (with success, yay!), catching up on Suits, and binge-watching Scandal. I want you all to go and do some homework and watch Scandal so I have somebody to talk to about it. Seriously.

Anyway, a few months ago I was lucky enough to be contacted by Avril - a french beauty brand which pride themselves on not testing on animals, and ensuring any of the ingredients used are also not tested on our furry friends. I highly respect this, and think that all companies should follow their …
